As many of you know, it is LRG philosophy that every manual transmission requires a new overdrive gear during a rebuild. The small 5th driven gear in the NV4500 is easily fatigued and over-stressed with even normal use, so don’t risk a catastrophic failure down the road. These LRG Select 5th gears are what we use during our rebuilds and have proven to be solid choices as they hold up long term to good power in a well-built NV4500. We pull them from our builders shelves to send to you to get the same result at home. Don’t forget a new nut kit and a new LRG mainshaft!
