Description
G56 3rd and 4th gear failures from fatigue, stress, or abuse are unfortunately more common than we would all like. To combat this, we really like to replace the 3rd and 4th gears with fresh metal to avoid fatigue failures. While this is simple to do on the main shaft, it also needs to be completed on the countershaft. While more difficult to change, it is a near-requirement nonetheless. Replace one half of a fatigued gear pair does little to help you, replace your 3-4 setup correctly with an LRG select 3-4 cluster gear.
