These cases are the ultimate G56 transmission upgrade.  

The previous heavy duty aluminum cases were great, but this is a big step up!

As Andrew mentioned in the video, aluminum cases just leave a bit to be desired for diesel trucks with big power.

With the existing aluminum cases, if any kind of clutch or front driveline or other accident breaks your bell housing, the preload on the transmission shafts has to be set again just to replace that bell housing, since it is integral to the main case.  Well, thanks to our partnership with the manufacturer of the heavy duty aluminum case, our new Modular case allows you to replace that bell housing without impacting the core components of the transmission or the preload that is set when they are built.

The modular pieces alone would be a great upgrade, but these cases are thicker overall, with stronger bearing supports, and of course are cast iron for optimal strength and rigidity.  This will be a big improvement over original case flexion issues and potential for spun bearing races.
