This is the last crossmember you’ll ever need for your second gen Dodge.
We all know these trucks (and drivers) can put a hurting on transmissions and clutches, and we all know what a pain it is to remove and install the factory crossmember. Well, that’s a thing of the past with our new modular crossmember design that not only saves you from the struggle, but adds a ton of strength and versatility to your truck. This crossmember utilizes laser-cut 1/4″ steel side plates that bolt to your frame rail with your factory hardware, and stay there forever. The center section is easily removable with six bolts, allowing you to drop out the crossmember quickly to access the transmission, exhaust, anything else. When you’re done, the center section reinstalls just as quickly and easily. Oh, lets not forget the best part- this crossmember will bolt into the second gen dodge frame and accept all possible diesel transmission combinations from Dodge- NV4500, NV5600, 46/47/48re, AND G56’s! The early 2g crossmembers require a ton of modifications to accept the later 6 speeds, and finding a stock 98-02 is getting difficult and they are likely rusty as can be. These crossmembers are hand built and tig-welded for a perfect fit, with proper angles applied to the side plates and mounting pad. They ship bare and are ready for your paint or powder coat.
